My London Big 5 (no.3): African Animals / ZSL London Zoo

Tickets: £24.30

From Parliament Square, I took a slight detour and walked past the beautiful St James Park then made my way back to Charing Cross station to take the Northern Line to Camden Town.

Finally! I’ve wanted to go to the ZSL London Zoo since moving to London and there couldn’t have been a better opportunity than for My London Big 5 to check out some African animals.

I headed straight to the ‘Into Africa’ section (perfect!) and found just what I was looking for. Hippos, giraffes and zebras. I loved it.

The zoo is larger than I thought (located in Regents Park) and you can easily spend half a day here with lots of seating areas to relax and shows in the grand arena to keep you entertained.

A BIG thank you to ZSL London Zoo for having me as a guest!

This little bit of Africa in central London sure made me homesick. I can’t wait to spend some time in the Kruger National Park again where you can see all these beautiful animals in the wild. Doesn’t that sound amazing!

At this stage, I was starving and heading straight for no.4 on My London Big 5 list. Take a look here and if you haven’t you can watch a short video on my day out here.
