Travel Places: Babylonstoren

This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending a wedding at the beautiful Babylonstoren, farm. The estate is situated just 60km outside Cape Town, South Africa, making it an easy drive on a Saturday afternoon.

It dates back all the way to 1690 and lays between Franschoek and Paarl. This 8-acre working farm in it’s true Cape Dutch style, is a truly spectacular sight and will make you fall in love with the Cape all over again.

For those with money to spare, make sure to stay over in the cottages and visit the spa. The interior is breathtaking, and the relaxed atmosphere on the farm will do wonders.

The farm is filled walkways ways, flowers, the most lovely green house, turkeys, donkeys…the list goes on.

The sights, the sounds, the smells…it all forms the recipe for a perfect break.

I promise it won’t disappoint.
