Woofs of the World: Bernese Mountain Dog

We like theΒ Bernese Mountain Dog for three very important reasons:

  1. It’s fluffy
  2. They like hanging out in the snow
  3. Did we mention that they’re fluffy

Who: The Bernese Mountain Dog

Where: This pooch hails from the Swiss Alps, where else? And have been around from as early as 1907.

Colour: The Bernese Mountain Dog is a tri-colour dog. Mostly black, with white and a rusty colour around it’s face, front legs and chest. Perfection.

Age: The average lifetime for the Bernese is 7.2 years. Not very long, but we’re sure they’ll give you some wonderful years.

Size: Large – Larger. This woof can get up to 70cm and weigh up to 57kg.

Who would like them: A Bernese is perfect for a family who likes to spend a lot of time outdoors, but also appreciates a good cuddle. They are calm and even friendly to strangers.
